A sump pump that's undersized, aging, or missing a battery backup is a flood waiting for the next power outage or heavy storm to arrive.

Four commitments that separate a properly trained sump pump installation crew from a generalist showing up with a truck and a hope.
Technicians calculate gallons-per-minute inflow before recommending a cast-iron, submersible, or pedestal pump.
A failed primary pump during active weather gets priority dispatch — most Ithaca, NY service areas see a technician within hours.
Battery backup systems are quoted as a clear add-on so you can decide based on your specific risk tolerance and past flooding history.
We install backup systems that kick in automatically the instant the primary loses power or can't keep pace with inflow.
We don't run a one-size-fits-all playbook — every sump pump installation job starts from these core service components, adapted to what your property actually needs.
We install cast-iron or high-torque submersible pumps sized to your basin's actual inflow rate, not a generic big-box unit. Float switches are tested and adjusted on site to confirm proper activation depth.
We size the backup to match your primary pump's capacity, not a mismatched unit that can't actually keep pace during a real event.
Where municipal water pressure is reliable, a water-powered backup pump offers unlimited runtime without relying on battery charge — a solid option for extended power outages.
In colder months, discharge lines are checked for freeze-prone routing and can be fitted with a freeze-guard fitting to prevent backup during winter storms.
A standalone water-sensing alarm alerts you the moment water rises above a safe threshold in the pit, even if the pump itself is functioning.
Here's the path from your call to a fully installed and load-tested pump.
A few quick questions about your basin size and pump age help us bring the right replacement unit on the first trip.
Arrival windows are confirmed by text, with updates if an active emergency ahead of you shifts the schedule.
Pricing is itemized — pump unit, basin work, discharge routing, backup system if selected — all in writing before installation starts.
We're glad to walk you through testing the system yourself so you know it's working before the next storm.
Real feedback from Ithaca-area customers who called us for sump pump installation.
"Our old pump died during a storm at 2am and they had someone out replacing it by that afternoon."
"They actually calculated our pit's inflow rate instead of just selling us whatever pump was on the truck. Appreciated the honesty."
"Battery backup they installed kept us dry during a multi-hour outage last winter — would've flooded otherwise."
"Quote was broken down clearly, pump versus labor versus the backup system, so we could decide what fit our budget."
